Exciting news! Phoenix is hosting a picnic gathering at Serpent Mound in southeast Ohio on Saturday, October 10, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Please save this date and plan to be onsite to enjoy in-person visiting with your Phoenix family.
It was the summer solstice of 2015(!) when our Phoenix group last gathered at these sacred grounds, and now the ancient energy of the serpent is calling again! We’ll have a picnic with friends, visiting, and some wandering through the sacred serpent earthwork.
Please plan to bring lunch for yourself/your group. Phoenix will provide distilled water, ice and cups, and you may bring your own beverage if you wish.
You may also wish to bring camp chairs, comfortable shoes, bug repellent, sunscreen, and anything else that would make your visit more pleasant and comfortable.

Please note:
The gift shop closes at 4:30 p.m. The site and grounds close promptly at 5:00 p.m.
GATE CLOSURE is at 4:00 p.m. Please arrive before 4:00 p.m. to be able to visit the site.
The museum and grounds may close during inclement weather.
The parking fee is $8.00 per vehicle, so you may wish to carpool. Military discount is $4.00 per vehicle.
Walking on the mounds is prohibited; please stay on the paved trails beside the mounds. The observation tower should be open if you wish to climb up for an aerial view.
